Minor changes like typo corrections or punctuation are not listed here, but your feedback when you find them is always welcome!

April 24, 2024: PTO Policy

Requirements and required documentation for using PTO for Client-Initiated Cancellations clarified.



April 18, 2024: Psychotherapy Guide

Language for Assessment and Planning for children's psychotherapy clarified that a CASII/ECSII is required to determine if the child is eligible for CTSS Psychotherapy.



April 16, 2024: Treatment Supervision Guide

Action Items language added as an essential part of Treatment Supervision.

April 10, 2024: Service-Specific Guides for ARMHS, CTSS, Psychotherapy, and Diagnostic and Clinical Professional Services. 

Language added that an annual DA is no longer required for any service, rather the previous DA is reviewed and a new DA conducted if determined necessary or recommended by the conclusions in the review.



April 2, 2024: Rights of the People We Serve Treatment Consent section.

We have discovered language in the MHCP that allows verbal consent for Telehealth Mental Health services delivered at least in part via Telehealth.

February 13, 2023: DA Update Requirements

DA requirements updated, including when we will conduct a new DA.



January 29, 2024: CTSS.

CASII or ECSII required for determining CTSS eligibility during the Intake DA or DA update.



January 29, 2024: Personnel Policy.

Work Breaks section added. Notification to nursing mothers that breaks are allowed to express milk and a private room will be provided.



January 25, 2024: Integrated Care Management Guide.

Correction to requirement for updates to the Diagnostic Assessment for Case Management. A update to the DA is required only every three years.



January 24, 2024: Paid Time Off and Leaves of Absence Guide.

Corrections to PTO accrual rates for hourly staff that were posted on December 28, 2023.

August 23, 2023: CTSS Guide.

Clarification of service types to use while documenting CTSS services, including Psychotherapy and Treatment Planning.

Document Assessment Work: service types for treatment/service plan and progress review writeup standardized.



July 17, 2023: Principlles of Person-Centered Planning.

Progress Reviews required every 60 days for all services. Updates to service-specific guides in the works but will not be listed separately here.

THe Extended DA is no longer an option for billing DAs.

Clarification of when a DA might be sent back for corrections, and by whom.



June 2, 2023: Telehehealth Guide.

Telehealth services by audio-only technology (example telephone) remain authorized through June 30, 2025 per legislative action. (The previous expiration date was June 30, 2023.)

1) Instructions for Prolonged sessions (peviously called "Extended") updated to comply with changes in state rules.

2) Documention guidelines updated to reflect these rules and administrative simplification of documentation.

3) "Extended" session language replaced with "Prolonged" to match DHS language.



March 14, 2023: Principles of Person-Centered Assessment and Planning

Language added to the section on Using the Adult Intake Adult Intake Assessment and Plan and Adult Re-Engagement Assessment and Plan to clarify that these plans are set to expire at 90 days from approval.



March 10, 2023: Telehealth Guide

Resources and References added.

BHH temporary suspension of the 90-day face-to-face contact rule eliminated. This service may still be provided using telehealth.

Language on Case Management changed to use the term Interactive Video per state requirements, and significantly limited.

Language added that audio-only telehealth services are authorized only until July 1, 2023.

The policy on payout of accrued PTO has been clarified. Language was added that there will be no payout when an employee fails to return from a leave of absence (a form of quitting without notice). Language also added that working out the notice period is considered met if the employee works fewer hours during the notice period because of a stepdown in clients served due to client transitions.
